Senno mastered the art of manga through his past experience of being a assistant to two world famous manga artist, Reiji Matsumoto and Miyako Maki.
In 1981, Senno's debut work "Yukihime (Snow Princess)" was published through the famous adult manga magazine, Lemon People. This was the start and the root to the current manga genre, "Bishōjo(Beautiful young girl) Manga ".
(Lemon People magazine is known to be the father of specifically targetting "male targeted adult manga with beautiful young girls". Until then, there were only erotique manga portraying adults drawn with a realistic style.
A year later, Senno started a new manga series called, "Hyaku Mensou (Hundred Face) Circus" which is a gothic twist with a surreal story and illustrated with a strong contrast of black and white.
During the same time, Senno worked on other numerous series geared towards Shōnen (Boy audience) Manga publishing. Such works are:
"Kurakunatte Majo (Little cutie witch)" for weekly Shōnen Champion a CBS sony publishing.
"Chizuru's Mysterious Tales" for Princess Gold a Seirin-Do publishing.
"Silhoutte in the Darkness" for Princess Gold at Princess Gold comics.
Other works consists of Dark Fantasy Shōjo (Girl audience) Manga series, "Zero at Outer Space" a Jitsugyo-no Nihon Sha publishing. A series that has strong homage of the movie "Blade Runner" called, "Valkyrie" a Kubo Shoten work.
And a test style manga for a new genre, "Shōnen X". Whenever Senno had a chance or a idea, no matter what genre or target Senno created new works.
Senno also worked on publishing young adult manga magazine. Such works consists of comedy manga series, "Samurai Cop", a Science Fiction movie parody manga, "The Secret Lady"and a series about a young devilish girl that destroys innocent people's life called "Little Devil".
Senno worked on creating a comedy take of random situation without a fixation of a specific genre.
Also another adult manga series that Senno worked on was based on a transexual main character called, "Lady Eccentric" and "Ohma-ga Horror Show". Senno's transexual manga series had a huge impact on the actual real transexual people in Japan. Because of the manga, "closet" transexual people decided to have a sex change and not be embarassed about it.
Their were many female fans of Senno's Shōjo Manga and Experimental Manga series, and for some odd coincidence these fans will eventually come across Senno's Bishōjo Manga series. At first glance, these fans fall in shock when seeing such eroticism with these young girls but for some reason they always can't put the book back and has a strong urge to purchase it and hide it in their bookshelf at home.
In the early 90s, a Horror Manga boom spread across Japan. And soon this incident lead Senno's manga into the genre of Horror.
During this era, Senno started to create numerous Horror manga and had them published at numerous Horror manga magazine. Senno's Horror manga had a strong dramatic story background.
Senno's works had a very tradition Horror feel. Senno portrayed images of gore and evil with a beautiful girl drenched in blood screaming, which reminded reader's, the world and vision of Director Dario Argento and/or the series Hellraiser.
Such works that were published under "Senno Horror" genre were; "Girl Pandora", "The End of Eden" and "Sister" from Akita Publishing... "Shi No Megami (Goddess of Death)", "Meikyu Circus (Circus of Labyrinth)" and "Kamikiri Onna (Mantis Woman)" from Bunka Publishing... "Shi No Bijutsukan (Death Museum)" from Kubo Publishing.
Most of Senno's Horror manga were made out as a series of short story. Such works included, "Deguchi Shōnen Series" a story about a boy named Deguchi-kun that can't stop but run into mysterious phenomenons... "Shitarou-kun Series" a story about a boy named Shitarou-kun who loved to be with friends and family but unfortunately the people that Shitarou-kun contacts always falls into something terrible... "Alice in Labyrinth Series" a story about a mysterious cute girl's adventure that unravels like a puzzle box with blood and gore...
All of these short storied series are filled with horror and black humor.
These short stories are all published bundled together; "Shitarou-kun" series are bundled by 2 volumes by Akita Publishing... "Rumor of Shitarou-kun" series are also bundled by 2 volumes by Gentosha Comics... and "Alice in Labyrinth" series by Kubo Publishing.
Besides creating horror based manga, Senno's next project was drawing out a Senno-version of the classical fairy tales and/or the biographical stories of such master writers.
Such works included a sotry about "Sade" who was the father image of what we know today as Sadist. "Venus Im Pelz"which was written by a story writer named Masoch, whe became the basis of the words Masochist.
"Castle of Tragedy" which was based on the stories of the Grimm Brothers. "Histoire d'O", the biographical stories of Jeanne d'Arc and Gilles de Rais...
Such masterpieces depicted a world of gore and violence, taken place during the European Mid Century. Hidden behind this gore was a beautiful innocent fairy tale-isk atmosphere was a strong sexuality desire.
Sometimes Senno portrayed these images in a horror take, and sometimes in a erotic adult manga take. In any case, this manga collection had a cult following with Senno's Bishōjo Manga female fans and was said to be a exotic yet comfortable reading material in bed.
This series of Senno's manga were grouped together as a anthology manga and was published under Seirindo Publishing. The books titles were: "SADE", "SADE 2 -devilishness princess", "Tempest" and "Decameron".
Another inspired work by Sade and Grimms was a manga called "Miss Vampire" published by Seirindo Publishing. And during the same run of inpiration Senno worked on his first digital manga release called "École de Eden".
Both were normal length manga that the story telling had a sense of watching a movie and grasped reader by surprise.
Senno faced his newest challenge when Senno was approached into doing a adult manga based off of a Samurai time frame manga.
The title was "Eden the Yoshiwara Yu-Jo Girls" and was published under a samurai based magazine called Ran.
It felt like a natural progression in Senno's creation as a manga artist for doing this Yoshiwara themed manga because Yoshiwara is historically Japan's first and biggest red light district in Edo City.
Senno's manga genre is known to be borderless. Senno himself doesn't realize any specific genre to work off of. Senno simply creates any genre manga that he feels fit with the theme.
From adult to youth, male to female, Senno sets his bar high against the world, continuing to draw his own Senno style aesthetic, beauty, delusional, and dark humor manga.
